The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency stated it is actually alarmed in regards to the high amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The provider level produced for intervention ordeals a significant influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional methods to permit the servicing of all clients and improve usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
