Social Development Department Minister Sisisi Tolashe has pledged her assistance and commitment to strengthening South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) products and services during an engagement along with the company's senior professionals at a strategic planning session in Cape Town.
Tolashe on Tuesday expressed her heartfelt congratulations to the various social grant beneficiaries, who excelled from the 2024 matric examinations.
From the 724 156 full-time learners who registered for the National Senior Certification (NSC), 572 338 are social grant beneficiaries, representing eighty one% in the registered pupils during the education and learning sector.
These learners attained a commendable pass rate of 86%.
